As everyone woke up and ate their respective breakfast we all headed to school. the spirits were high since we knew today was going to be short. As usually we first changed into our uniforms and went straight to the dining room to spend the last couple of minutes on our phones before the always shy Jasper gave us all the recipes and information we needed before we started cooking. We only had 3 dishes to make, but since they were all very easy to make and took little to no time at all, all 6 of our groups had to make every single dish. That meant ryebread porridge with beer, for which we soaked yesterday's ryebread leftovers in dark beer and a cinnamon stick, then we added some sugar, some lemon/orange juice and zest before boiling it down to a very thick consistency. served with whipped creme it proved an interesting dish as well as a unique breakfast option. Following that we made two different kinds of cookies, which both proved very similar in taste to our “medenjaki”. The first were the peppercorns, for which we whisked some butter and sugar followed by some golden syrup and loads of spices which often made them too flavourful to consume in large quantities. The dough had to rest for a while which gave us time to make the Danish brown cookies which consisted of very similar ingredients, but were made a little bit thicker than the latter. Once all the ingredients were combined we rolled them up in thick sausages and again had to let them rest in the fridge. When the peppercorns were rested we took them out and made a loooooot of small balls for which the measurements were given by Luka. We baked them until they were golden brown, eating many in the process. For the Danish brown cookies, we had to cut the sausage in thin discs and baked them well, some even a bit too much (burnt). Then we happily ate them all except those that we didn't. Later that day we met up with the rest of the professors that just arrived and got completely obliterated by them in bowling as well as pool, but not without getting forcefully coached in the process.
